The Art of Theresa Pfarr

 Theresa Pfarr’s paintings focus on the female form within the constructs of today’s culture.  From her statement she says, “I treat the cultural, commercial and personal as one in my work, through a process of collecting, collaging and manipulating images into my paintings.”  To me, she abuses the female form in such a way to recreate it in a different light that is neither flattering nor insulting.  She dances on this fine line very naturally.
